Biography
My first allergic reaction happened when I was 4 months old. My mum told me she had no idea what was happening until she remembered a scene from Hitch where Will Smith's face swells up after an allergic reaction. She realised my face looked the same, and that's how she knew I was having an allergic reaction. I live with allergies: dairy, eggs, sesame, treenuts, coconut & kiwi. I've just finished my A levels and have deferred my place to study Media & Communication at the University of Exeter for a gap year. Part of that year will be spent travelling & I'm hoping to document my experiences through an allergy travel blog. Every holiday I've ever been on has started with the same question: Where can I eat safely? Will they understand cross contamination? I want to share the reality of travelling with food allergies, how to stay safe and to help other people feel more confident as they become independent.
