The Allergy & Free From Show made a triumphant return on June 22-23, 2024, at Olympia Events, London, following its recent acquisition by Raccoon Media Group. Renowned for celebrating and showcasing allergen-free and specialist dietary products, the event attracted 12,574 attendees and over 150 exhibitors.
The show featured a dynamic range of brands, including Dr. Schar, Tesco, M&S, Holland & Barrett, Warburtons, Balmonds, and Koko Dairy Free, who showcased their products through tasting stations and interactive features.
With five areas of content, the show delivered an array of educational sessions, including cooking demonstrations, panel discussions, Q&As, and fireside chats. Becky Excell hosted a session on the Inspiration Stage and an engaging Live Kitchen demonstration, followed by a four-hour meet and greet with fans. Other notable speakers included Morgan McKenzie Moore, Heather Mills, Tee Houghton, Nathalie Newman, Suzanne Shaw, and Steve Walpole, who provided invaluable insights and inspiration to attendees.
Reflecting on the event, Becky Excell said, “Honestly, it was the most wild, overwhelming, fun, positive few days and I’m so grateful to everyone who made it possible.” One visitor shared, “What a great show – I loved that there were the big brands, lots of small ones, plus charities/associations/individuals helping with allergen awareness. Spoke to everyone and found so many new and interesting products, and educated myself a lot.”
The Allergy & Free From Show’s partnership with City Harvest helped provide surplus food to nourish thousands of people across London experiencing food poverty. This initiative allowed exhibiting food businesses to minimise waste sustainably and impactfully.
City Harvest’s team collected a total of 1.4 tonnes of surplus food, equating to 3,433 nutritious meals for Londoners in need. This effort not only provided sustenance but also freed up budgets for other social investments to support and enrich the lives of those most in need. The Allergy & Free From Show continues to be a pivotal event in promoting allergen awareness and providing a platform for brands and individuals dedicated to creating a more inclusive food industry. The show has recently announced the first additions to the 2025 speaker lineup including Kate Lancaster, Dale Pinnock, Becky Excell, and Dan Kelly.
