Steve Walpole

Professional allergy and free from chef

Steve has been passionate about food since the age of 15 when he discovered the delights of cookery through his Saturday job at a local restaurant. From here he attended the prestigious Westminster Kingsway College to train as a Chef. His first role earned him a position in the kitchens at the House of Commons where he worked his way up from Commis to Senior Chef de Partie. It was during these summer recesses that Steve used his time to gain valuable experience in a number of high-profile restaurants and hotels. His culinary journey later took him back to Westminster Kingsway College but this time as a Chef Lecturer, teaching aspiring young chefs and working with The Fifteen Foundation to establish and support their training programme. Subsequent roles have seen Steve head-hunted to work within airline catering as a Senior Executive Chef for British Airways and retailer manufacturing as Head of Food for Ugo Food Group.

 

Steve Walpole Limited started in 2013, growing from a demand for the specialist knowledge and expertise that Steve is able to offer.  The business has gone from strength to strength and Steve finds himself working with an increasingly diverse range of clients and projects.  One of the many things that Steve really loves about his business is the variety that it offers both in terms of products and projects as well as the opportunity to connect people and businesses within the food and hospitality industry.
