Hello, I’m Melissa – also known as Finlay’s mum, the label checker, and the go-to for allergy-friendly food. I’m the mum who brings chocolate everyone can enjoy and I’m passionate about raising awareness and inclusion.
Finlay was diagnosed with a severe milk protein and soya allergy at 13 months, and since then I’ve been on a mission to make sure he never misses out. I run an allergy-friendly messy play business, creating safe, inclusive spaces where children can explore food play without parents worrying.
At 2.5, Finlay proudly asks, “Mummy, does this have milk in it?” – something that makes me incredibly proud.
I advocate for better awareness, challenge venues to improve allergy-safe options, and support other families navigating life with allergies. I’m always the mum with the overpacked snack bag – because no child should feel excluded.
