My name is Karina Montagni, also known as @ourallergystory on Instagram. I am a mother of two: my 12-year-old son has multiple food allergies and asthma, and my 10-year-old daughter also has asthma.
I care deeply about the allergy community and am passionate about raising awareness of what it’s like to live with food allergies. In 2023, I took part in a BBC interview, where my son shared his personal experience of living with food allergies.
I am also the Community & Partnerships Manager at Equal Eats. We create allergy translation cards and an app that helps people communicate their dietary needs in 58 languages, empowering our community to feel safer and more confident when eating out and travelling around the world.
