My own coeliac disease diagnosis came after a life-threatening health crisis, which included a month-long hospital stay and a close call with heart failure due to undiagnosed symptoms. This pivotal experience spurred me to start “The Gluten Freelancer”, originally a blog which, during the lockdown, transformed into a comprehensive social media project. This platform not only shares my journey but also offers guidance, advice, and community support for those navigating the complexities of gluten intolerance and coeliac disease.
Through my expanded social media presence, I actively engage with a global community, providing insights and fostering a dialogue on effective management of health through diet. But it’s not only that: I use my Italian irony/language to build a community in between the UK and Italy, making fun of my celiac disease in a duo with my fake mother (@damon_petrova).
Back to serious stuff, my story has been highlighted in The Telegraph, further amplifying my voice in the gluten-free advocacy space. I also collaborate with gluten free brands/bakeries willing to test their food through my judgement.
As an ambassador for your esteemed event, I would bring my extensive digital engagement experience and personal narrative to enhance awareness and education about allergies and free-from lifestyles. I am eager to collaborate with brands that align with our community’s values, participate in meaningful discussions, and ensure that visitors gain valuable knowledge and resources.
I am excited about the opportunity to represent the Allergy & Free From Show and contribute to its success. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of making a significant impact at this wonderful event.
