Lucy May

I was diagnosed with coeliac in the spring of 2017, having been around the gluten free my whole life due to my mother coeliac diagnosis. Dietary requirements have always been important to myself and my family, having fat free, gluten free, yeast free and egg free family members (eating out was always interesting!!).

Events such as the Allergy and Free From show have always been important to me, in finding new connections and ways of making our dietary restrictions less restrictive in day to day life.

After years of talking about it, I have finally launched my food blog (@lulusfreefrom) and website (lulusfreefrom.co.uk) to share all of my recipes I have developed since my diagnosis. I truly believe we don’t need to compromise on taste and texture, and we need to challenge the presumption that free from food is lesser than other food.

I would love to work alongside the Allergy and Free From Show to share my passion for free from recipes, spread the word of the event and future events and be an advocate for the safety of those who have allergies and autoimmune diseases.
