Jay's allergy journey started when her son Ash was diagnosed with multiple food allergies at the age of 6.5 months old. Overnight her life changed and was left alone to work out the world of food allergies. She has been on her allergy journey for 10 years and understands the daily challenges of navigating life with food allergies as well as the psychological impact of food allergies.
Jay is an allergy advocate who thrives for change to create a safer and more inclusive environment for those living with food allergies so that they can live a more fulfilling life. Jay believes it all starts with education and raising awareness. She has appeared on radio; BBC Asian Network & BBC Surrey, and has been a guest expert speaker on Sky TV - Akaal Channel. As well as being a confident public speaker, speaking at numerous events, Jay is also part of the Newham Council's Health and Wellbeing Clinic for Newham Ramgarhia Sikh Gurdwara. Jay's mission is to change mindsets around allergies within the South Asian community through education and advocacy.
Jay is an Allergy Life Coach she qualified as an NLP Practitioner & Master Practitioner, she works on a 1.1 basis with her clients using NLP techniques. Jay founded and now runs a local allergy support group in the South East as well as a private Facebook group called The Allergy Club where she supports allergy families, helping them take back control of their lives to lead a more confident allergy lifestyle.
